The Casino is worth
the detour just for its magnificent setting. Built in 1912 by Georges Wybo, it
celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Inside, slot machines and games
tables make it one of Deauville's leading leisure venues. If gaming fever
doesn't tempt you, why not watch a show in its little proscenium theatre, or a
film on the cinema's big screen? |

An 18th-century-style theatre, inspired by the
Petit Trianon in Versailles, was built inside the Casino.
It was inaugurated in 1912 by Vaslav Nijinski and the Ballets Russes. Today it
is a veritable platform for art in all its forms which both fascinates and
invites discovery.
A great many artists have left their mark on this intimist space. It currently
hosts the Deauville Cultural Season.
